All about Jaquelyn & Benson: Camping at Memorial Lake

We are back from our long holiday out in Saskatchewan. We left on July 16th and just got back on the 27th. We had a great time, but are all tired! It was a busy trip. The picture above is of Jaquelyn on the car ride to Saskatoon. She did so great on such a long drive. The picture below is of a semi that had flipped just beside Cereal, AB.

On Thursday July 17th we drove out to Memorial Lake for our camping trip. We had a bit of time to kill that morning, so we went to the "Taste of Saskatchewan" and Jaquelyn had a blast playing in this bouncy castle.

She tuckered herself out and fell asleep on the hour & a half drive to the lake.

THIS is what we woke up to on the Saturday morning. Our camp site was totally flooded!

Since the site was covered in water we took off to nearby Shell Lake and went to a pancake breakfast. It was fun!

Leanne, Richard & I tried to get some of the water out by hand (we gave up quickly and let the sump pump (?) do all the work)! Nice life jacket Richard!! Balloon hats were from the pancake breakfast.

Later we went and played in a "plastic bat and ball" tournament. We called ourselves the "swamp rats" and came in 2nd place! There were only 2 teams!!
