Jaquelyn's first pet

Jaquelyn has been asking for a pet for quite some time now. First she wanted a cat, then a dog, then a cat and a dog. Then a flamingo (not sure where she came up with that)! This week she started asking for a fish. I thought a fish would be a great little first pet. Beth and I took her out on Thursday afternoon to pick out her fish. She picked a Beta fish and named it Dory.
Here she is with Auntie Beth waiting at the check out to buy the fish. She was so excited.

Benson loved watching us when we got home with the fish.

She listened so carefully to Auntie Beth as she explained to her all the jobs that she'll have when it comes to taking care of Dory.

We keep Dory upstairs in the hall on the dresser. Jaquelyn likes this spot because she says "it's nice and sunny and there is lots of leaves on that plant".
